Live from Guy Klucevsek 75th Birthday Celebration, at Roulette Intermedium, Brooklyn. Performers: Bachtopus Accordion Ensemble--Robert Duncan, Peter Flint, Mayumi Miyaoka, Jeanne Velonis--with guests Todd Reynolds, violin, Guy Klucevsek, piano, and accordionists Alan Bern, Nathan Koci, Will Holshouser.
I originally created this as a solo for Jeanne Velonis; later expanded it for Bachtopus; and expanded it once again for this ad hoc ensemble for the Roulette concert. It is in the nature and spirit of an Irish "session," in which all musicians join to play a familiar tune.
