After a three and half hour tribute to the great Odetta, all present at the memorial got up on stage to sing one of her signature songs of hope, faith, and inspiration. Among the revelers were David Amram, Pete Seeger, Josh White Jr., Tom Chapin, Steve Earle ,Oscar Brand, Harry Belafonte , Peter Yarrow and his daughter Bethany, Maria Muldaur, Geoffrey Holder, Bernice Johnson Reagon of Sweet Honey in the Rock, Maya Angelou, Guy Davis,Wavy Gravy, Michelle Esrick, Odetta's adopted daughter, and a host of others who knew and worked with Odetta. Joan Baez, Tavis Smiley and Bob Dylan appeared by video. Riverside Church, NYC, 2/24/09
