This is my version of the "Richie Havens" cover of "The Beatles" tune "Strawberry Fields". He was the opener for "WoodStock 69" and this was the first song sung. I personally never liked the original "Beatles" version all that much, but after watching the "WoodStock" doc, and seeing Havens' performance of this..I was blown away and have only ever played it this way.
